The Outreach Committee is in charge of wooing and wowing potential Regents Scholars and to convince them to attend UCLA. We organize a mentoring program--which includes writing letters and making phone calls to potential scholars--and an Overnight Stay Program (OSP). We also take part in the annual Scholars Day Reception in the spring. Involvement in the Outreach Committee can range from showing up at the reception to being a mentor to organizing parts of our wooing campaign.

- Send Vivian Host/Mentor Info + Paragraph at outreach@rssla.org ASAP
- Professor Recruitment!
- Facebook group: O.S.P. – Join It!
- Write on the wall which professors you’re inviting, then confirm on the wall with a yes or no after you asked with their E-mail
- The Professor Recruitment Chair will post it on the Facebook group news update
- We’ll send them a formal invitation afterward
- Make sure you tell them where, when, and what time it is
- Stress the importance of their coming to the reception
- Future UCLA students that are the top of the classes
- Tell them why YOU invited THEM
- They’re interesting
- They’re inspirational
- Etc.
- Scholar’s Day:
- 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM – De Neve Plaza Room
- Student and parent groups meet for an introduction by the Regents Scholars Society
- 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM – Bradley International Hall - Regents Scholars Reception
- Professors will meet and greet Freshmen Regents scholars and their parents
- Professors should arrive between 4:00 PM and 4:30 PM!
